Is being sustainable really sustainable for the South Korean music industry?

K-Pop: What is the value of K-Pop?

What is valued by fans of the genre, artists and creatives of the genre, the entertainment companies who produce said artists and the governing body of South Korea is one in the same. But how can the K-industry address the multifaceted issue of creating a sustainable environment for K-Pop that satisfies its public demand while not overwhelming the environment at large? Is such a thing possible? Are organizations such as K-Pop 4 Planet justified in putting pressure on entertainment companies to solve the problem of providing eco-friendly products? And if so, what would eco-friendly products look like? Is K-Pop 4 Planet’s demand on the K-industry appropriate because of its physical sales demonstration in recent years when the same pressure is not applied for the entertainment industry at large which produces related products? What would a global eco-friendly entertainment industry look like? Is such a thing tenable in regions where governing bodies like South Korea also desire to see a resurgence in ecotourism gains that were lost in the residual waves of the COVID-19 pandemic?
